Summer Academy 2026
When does Summer Academy run?
15 June to 8 August 2026, at DETAIL Miami. The experience can be joined weekly, monthly, or for the full four months. Longer stays receive a lower weekly rate.
When should I arrive and leave?
Arrive in Miami on the Sunday before your week begins. Plan to leave Saturday evening or Sunday morning, for ease of acclimation and stay.
How do I get from the airport?
A coach arranges to pick you up from the airport on arrival. You do not need to organise transport yourself.
What level of player attends?
The range is wide by design — in 2025 the group included more than ten current college players as well as middle schoolers and everything in between. A few years of playing experience is required, and the program is described as being for dedicated players only.
What is the food situation?
Each week groceries are bought based on athlete requests for breakfast and snacks. Lunch is a set schedule of healthy options brought to the gym. For dinners, athletes receive a pre-paid debit card covering meals, weekend lunches and extra snacks.
Who are the coaches?
Led by Coleman Ayers, with a team of five full-time experienced coaches at DETAIL Miami over the summer. All staff go through extensive interviews and background checks.
Can I come for just one week?
Yes. The experience can be joined weekly, monthly, or for the full run from mid-June to early August.
What does it cost?
The Full Experience — the all-inclusive residential option — is published at $1,400–1,800 per week. The Local Summer Camp day option is published at $500 per week on the Summer Academy page.
Important: a second page on the same site prices what appears to be the identical day-camp tier at $1,400–1,800 per week. Because the business publishes both figures, confirm the rate in writing before paying.
Virtual Academy
What is in the Virtual Academy?
Nine live programs covering point guard play, ballhandling, mental skills, undersized guard play, shooting, athleticism, defence and an advanced handles extension — plus the Ultimate Development HQ, which combines them into one daily system. A tenth, The In-Season System, is named but has no page yet.
What does the Virtual Academy cost?
The individual program pages do not publish prices. The only figure published anywhere is for the Ultimate Development HQ bundle: “less than $2 per day”. The billing period behind that figure is not disclosed, so a monthly or annual price cannot be derived from it. Ask before purchasing.
Is it one-time or a subscription?
Both models exist. The cancellation policy distinguishes one-time payment programs, which grant lifetime access, from monthly and annual subscriptions. Which product falls into which category is not published per-program.
ADAPT & youth basketball
What is ADAPT Academy?
The youth club arm, co-founded in 2024 by Coleman Ayers and Gabe Macias. It blends European club development principles — more practice, stable rosters, teaching players to read the game — with American competitive intensity. Five city chapters plus ADAPT Global.
Where are the chapters?
South Florida, San Diego, Mountain State (West Virginia), San Jose and New York, plus ADAPT Global as the international travel squad.
What are the club dues?
Not published. Each chapter runs its own site and handles enquiries directly.
Is college recruitment guaranteed?
No. The published position is explicit: when performance and attitude warrant it, coaches connect athletes to college programs — “earned, not guaranteed”. Development is stated to come first.
Coaches
What does certification cost and how long does it last?
$1,399.99 as a one-time fee with lifetime access to the material. Certification renewal is required every three years.
What is included in certification?
50+ lessons, challenges and quizzes across nine units; 500+ drills and full workout videos; a copy of Deep Skill; Virtual Academy access; merchandise on completion; business resources; access to the global coach community; bi-weekly group calls with Coleman and the BAM coaches; and internship and retreat opportunities at discounted rates.
When is the next retreat?
12–13 December 2026 in Miami, Florida. Four tiers are published: Local Experience $799.99, Traveler's Package $1,499.99, Local VIP $1,799.99 and Full VIP $2,499.99. A code, EARLYMIAMI26, is published for $200 off, stated as available to the first five coaches.
Is there a cheaper way in?
Yes. The BAM Coaches Platform is a $34.99 per month subscription, cancellable at any time, and a Basketball Skill Acquisition Starter Kit is offered free.
Money & admin
Can I get a refund?
The published policy is that one-time payment programs and subscriptions are both non-refundable. There is one narrow exception: if a cancellation request is submitted before the renewal date but processed after renewal, the renewal charge is refunded. See the refunds page for the detail.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Through the in-app messaging system, or by emailing info@byanymeansbball.com. Allow up to 48 hours for the request to be processed, and submit it in advance of your renewal date.
Do you have a phone number?
No public phone number is published. Email and the web forms are the published channels. To be confirmed.
What is the correct address?
The main site gives the headquarters as Miami Lakes, Florida. The gym and club sites publish a street address of 16414 NW 54th Ave, Hialeah, FL 33014. Both are live; the discrepancy has not been resolved by the business.
